Description

Muhammad Adnan Grabs Anisa’s Hand

In a rush, Muhammad Adnan grabbed Anisa’s hand, but before he could say a word, Anisa began screaming and protesting.

Muhammad Adnan was deeply worried—he hated seeing Anisa distressed.

In a voice full of tenderness, trying to calm her, he began:

> “Please, my Anisa, calm down over this small matter.

This girl you saw is not the kind of woman you think—she’s my lawful wife through a Sunnah marriage. But I didn’t marry her to live as husband and wife in the usual way.

It was a marriage of purpose only. And my Anisa, even if you ask me right now to divorce her, I will. You are the only one I love and the only one I’ve chosen to spend my life with forever.”

Anisa Rejects His Explanation

She pulled herself from his embrace, tears streaming down her face.

> “Hmmm, Adnan! So your so-called marriage of purpose had to be with a Fulani girl from the rural settlements? I can’t live with this girl. She’s not even my age mate—she’s just a Fulani village girl! What about the promise you made to me?

> Today she will pack her things and leave this house—not tomorrow, today. If you leave her here, that’s a lie. Just dismiss her and send her back to her village.”

Anisa then pulled out paper and a pen from her handbag.

Mairo’s Plea

Mairo widened her eyes in shock and looked at Adnan. His heart pounded as he processed Anisa’s words.

Her voice cut through his thoughts:

> “Oya, hurry up, write it down.”

Hearing Mairo’s quiet sobbing brought both of them back to her. The pain in Mairo’s cry made her words tremble as she crawled toward Muhammad Adnan, holding his legs with both hands, tears running down her face.

> “Please, my brother, don’t do this to me. Let me continue staying in your house, even if only as your servant.”

Anisa shouted at her harshly, making Mairo flinch and step back.

Adnan’s Promise to Anisa

Seeing Mairo’s fear, Adnan looked at Anisa:

> “Please, Anisa, I promised I would divorce Mairo, but not now. I want her to give birth to a child for me first. Then—”

Before he could finish, Anisa screamed in disbelief:

> “Adnan, are you telling me you’ve slept with her? That all of you I’ve been jealous of, you’ve now let her see? That’s it—I’m leaving this house today!”

She stood up, her head spinning, and Adnan quickly caught her:

> “Please, Anisa, I swear by Allah I’m telling the truth. If you leave, what will you tell Ammie? This marriage was for a purpose. No one in the family knows except you and Khamis.”

The Truth Behind the Marriage

Anisa turned to him in shock:

> “Muhammad…?”

He shook his head and continued:

> “Anisa, I married her because of what she did for me—and because of you. Ammie keeps pressuring you about not having children. That’s why I married her: so she could give us a baby. Then we would present the child to Ammie as if you gave birth to it. Remember, we already told her you were pregnant, even though it wasn’t true.

> So, this marriage was for your sake. If she delivers, I will dismiss her and send her back to her village. Whatever you say, my Anisa, I will do.”

Hearing this, Anisa felt reassured and embraced him.

Mairo’s Pain and Jealousy

Mairo, who had been standing there hearing everything, felt like she was in a dream. She had never imagined Adnan was married. The intimacy between Adnan and Anisa before her eyes made her dizzy. She quietly left for her room.

For a whole week after that, Adnan didn’t see Mairo, and Anisa became more possessive. Mairo stayed in her section of the house, avoiding them.

But Adnan grew restless—he missed seeing her and longed for her in a way Anisa could not satisfy.

Suggestion to Visit Mairo

One day, he looked at Anisa and suggested:

> “My Anees, we should go and check on Mairo to see how she’s doing.”

Anisa, suspecting his true intentions, agreed anyway:

> “Okay, let’s go see how the baby is doing.”

Confrontation in Mairo’s Room

They went to Mairo’s side of the house. Anisa called out harshly:

> “Where is this girl?”

Mairo emerged slowly, wrapped in a towel.

Anisa approached:

> “You should be coming out for me to check on my baby’s health,” she said, placing a hand on Mairo’s stomach.

Adnan, not wanting to watch too closely, sat aside, but Anisa insisted:

> “Honey, come and help me hold her so we can check properly.”

Mairo tried to resist when Anisa moved to remove her towel, but Anisa insisted, accusing her of hiding nothing.

When the towel was loosened, Adnan’s eyes fell on Mairo’s chest. Desire surged in him instantly.

After Anisa Leaves

Anisa eventually left the room, telling Adnan to join her in the living room.

The moment she was gone, Adnan moved closer to Mairo, picking up her fallen towel. She kept her eyes shut, not wanting to see him.

His hand began to roam over her body, his lips on her chest, sucking hungrily. Mairo shoved him away and stood, crying.

He pleaded in a trembling voice:

> “Please, don’t do this to me. I can’t bear it—let me, just once.”

Mairo’s Hatred

Through tears, she pointed at him:

> “I swear I hate you, brother Muhammad. I don’t want to see you in my life. You’ve wronged me and oppressed me because of your selfishness.”

Her words pierced his heart. He knelt before her, holding her hands:

> “I know I wronged you, Maryam. Please forgive me…”

But his breath grew heavy, almost as if it would stop. Terrified, Mairo rushed to him:

> “Please, don’t die—don’t kill me with guilt. Do whatever you want with me, I have forgiven you.”

In desperation, she guided his head to her chest, and he began kissing her body passionately, moving lower to her belly, until she knew she was in deep trouble in his hands.
